For glazing, egg washing and buttering. The 4cm food-grade silicone bristles pick up egg wash, melted butter or glaze, and the 4.5cm wide head spreads it evenly over a loaf or a tray of buns without dragging at a soft, proved dough.
Silicone bristles don't shed into your bake the way natural bristles can, and they don't hold on to butter or oil. When you're done, it goes in the dishwasher. At 25cm it keeps your hand clear of the tray.
