Lids, rings and clips
for every WECK jar
Grouped by opening size, so you can see at a glance what fits.
Match the opening, not the capacity: RR60, RR80 or RR100 is the only number you need.
Three opening sizes.
That is the whole system.
WECK sizes its lids and rings to the opening rather than the jar, so a tiny 50ml and a 220ml can share a part.
Work out your opening once and every future order is easy.

1
Read the jar's name
Every WECK jar carries its opening size in the name. A 580ml Inverted Jar RR100 is an RR100. That is the number that decides the lid and the ring.
-
2
Or measure the top
Put a ruler across the opening of the jar, edge to edge. Roughly 60mm is RR60, 80mm is RR80, 100mm is RR100. There is nothing in between, so the nearest one is the right one.
-
3
Ignore the capacity
A 795ml quadro and a 1000ml inverted are both RR100 and take the same lid. Shape and size make no difference to what fits on top.

Clips are universal
One pair holds the seal on any jar we sell, whatever the opening. Buy a pair per jar you want to seal.

Parts questions
Nearly all of them come down to the size of the opening.
How do I know which size I have?
The jar's name tells you: RR60, RR80 or RR100. The RR stands for Rund Rand, German for round rim, and the number is the opening measured in millimetres. If you have lost the packaging, measure straight across the top of the jar. Around 60mm, 80mm or 100mm, and the nearest one is right.
Does the jar's capacity change what fits?
No. Lids and rings are sized to the opening, so a 795ml quadro and a 1000ml inverted both take the RR100 lid.
Is the complete set cheaper than buying the parts?
No, it is the same price. It is there to save you working out what you need, not to save you money.
How many clips does a jar need?
Two, which is one pack. The same clips fit every size, so you never need to match them to the jar.
Do I need the ring and clips at all?
Only if you want the jar sealed. A jar and lid are fine on the counter while a starter is active. The seal is what lets it live in the fridge and be fed once a week.
How long do the rubber rings last?
They are a consumable. Replace one when it goes hard, cracks or stops springing back. Hand-washing rather than the dishwasher makes them last longer.
