WECK Stainless Steel Preserving Clips
These clips hold a WECK glass lid down onto the jar. Two clips grip opposite sides of the lid and pull it evenly onto the rubber seal, which is how the jar seals.
Sold as a pair, which is what one jar needs. One pack per jar, so for three jars order three.
Genuine WECK clips in stainless steel. They fit every WECK round rim jar, RR60, RR80 and RR100, and they last indefinitely.
When to use them
Use them when your starter goes in the fridge between bakes. The lid and seal stop it drying out, and the clips hold everything on.
Take them off while the starter is out on the counter and rising, and rest the lid on loosely instead so the gas can escape. Clips on for the fridge, clips off while it rises.
A full seal needs four parts: the jar, a glass lid, a rubber sealing ring and a pair of clips.
